What makes this jumpsuit different?

The Emma is the jumpsuit for the person I am now - a mum, constantly crawling on my knees, having to rush toilet trips before someone opens the door, too tired to wear something uncomfortable.

  • Loose fit jumpsuit
  • Bathroom-friendly jumpsuit design so you can use the toilet without getting naked
  • Square neckline with straight spaghetti or wide shoulder straps
  • Bra-friendly style - choose the wide straps to cover your bra straps
  • Snap fastener closure at the back
  • Elasticated waistband for comfort
  • Pockets, of course!

Please use the form to customise your jumpsuit - sizes, leg lengths If you need help, please get in touch.

What do you mean, "bathroom-friendly jumpsuit"?!

Yes, you read that right!

There are 2 zips either size of the trousers of the jumpsuit (the 'ezp' zips.)

You simply undo each zip, undo the buttons on the tabs and let the back drop down (like the old long johns you see in Western films!) and do your business.

When you're finished, pull up the back, fasten the buttons on the tabs first (so you have both hands free to zip up the zips) and then zip up the zips.

This video shows you how they work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS0vrCSrOUk

Size and Fit Advice

The Emma is a loose-fit style but I like a snug fit around the top, where the poppers (snap fasteners) join. I find it stops me feeling like you can see all the way down when I bend over! Therefore an 'Upper Bust' measurement is quite important.

The straps are not adjustable to please make sure you give a strap length measurement when you order.

I have included photos of the green check because the fit at the back is better, there is less skin showing between the bodice and the trousers. This is how your jumpsuit will look. The pockets are also larger and true to size.

If you choose a wide strap, they will be positioned to cover your bra straps at the front and back. You can customise this width if you like - just send me an email orders@weareleim.com

How To Care For Your Jumpsuit

Try and spot-wash your jumpsuit whenever you can!

Do not tumble dry! Dry your jumpsuit flat (if you can)

More specific fabric care below:

Denim

  • Machine wash cold with similar colours
  • For darker denim I recommend washing alone for the first few washes as the colour may bleed
  • Iron on a medium to hot setting

Silk/Bamboo Silk

  • Dry cleaning is recommended but you can machine wash on a handwash setting if you live in an area with soft water
  • Remove from the washing machine immediately!
  • Iron on a low setting

Cotton & Linens & Tencels (and mixes)

  • Machine wash on a handwash setting
  • Remove from the washing machine immediately! This avoids water marks, particularly on dark fabric
  • Iron on a medium to hot setting

Why is she called 'The Emma'?

Emma is one of my best friends.

She is the person who finds out I'm trying to make an elasticated jumpsuit and sends me detailed analysis (with pictures) of every elasticated pair of trousers she owns.

I fell in love with Emma in a smokey after party where she fell asleep wearing a fake fur hat - we were meant to go on a date the next day but she stood us up.

Always up for doing something, always up for making me something weird (hello, blueberry risotto), always up for a cig.

She also got married in a Leim jumpsuit 🧡
